More than a decade the band has been united in creating a musical melodrama, and is still fighting with personal and social demons. Often, they are labeled as alternative, whose sound is based on confessional lyrics surrounded by guitar noise and singalong melodies, though the band members do not prefer definitions in music, claiming that it compromises freedom. Music is an organic need, that is all.
The first Autopark album, named 10plus1 was self-released on the Internet, in 2004. The second album, Osećanja za poneti (English: Takeout Feelings) (2006) was released for Multimedia records, and the third, Sve dalje (English: Everything Further) (2009) was again, self-released.
The fourth album Autopakao (English: Autohell) is an album a bit “laid back“ comparing to the previous ones. The distortion on the album is low, yet atmosphere, ambient and thanks to the producer Saša Janković – music are highly present, whatever that “music” is and how its meaning is described. The lyrics are, once again, about interpersonal relations, everything that surrounds us, failed relationships and constant self-interrogations.
So far, Exit’s audience had several chances to see Autopark live, at the festival and concerts around the country and the region, but their main media attention was drawn with music videos from Autopakao - ‘Autookean’, ‘Mi pomeramo stvari’ (English: We Move Things, from the movie “The Box”) and ‘Orvel Džordž’ (English: Orwell George).
Autopakao was recorded by: Ognjenka Lakićević (vocals), Nikola Berček (guitars, vocals), Dušan Lopušina (guitars), Milan Bogdanović (bass), Dejan Utvar (drums) and Aleksandar Sivački (keyboards).
