Vranorod was formed in 2006 by Igor Stamenovic as his one-man band, but the serious work with the band started in the end of 2008. In January 2009, the first album was released. In the end of 2009, Jelena joins on vocals, and band recorded their second album, published by French label Le Crepuscule Du Soir on CD. With this album band decided to move genre from black metal (played on the first album) to a mix of shoegaze, depressive rock and post-rock, with some metal influences. In 2010, the Nemanja and Dusan joined and band started with live shows. Vranorod is currently working on 3rd album, which will be the band's most mature work up to date.
